Ringgit Falls, Palm Oil Companies Get Benefits

PETALING JAYA - Maybank Research thought, the decreasing Ringgit or Rupiah because of the increasing United State Dollar gave benefits to palm oil businessmen.

Malaysia is the second exporter country after Indonesia whole over the world. It is known that Ringgit in Monday (5/1) decreased 0,65% to be 3.5567 per 1 US$. It was the lowest level for more than five years. The local currency has fallen 12,7% to greenback since the beginning of September.

“The decreasing of Ringgit or Rupiah makes the higher incomes in some regions and also give benefit to Malaysian and Indonesian businessmen or planters because the CPO exports are being traded in US dollar,” it reported as quoted from The Star. (T3)
