JAKARTA – Directorate General of Agriculture (DAG) of Agriculture Ministry held a socialization workshop of Plantation Law No.39 of 2014, on Wednesday (10/12/2014).
Spokesman of DAG, Gamal Nasir stated, Law No.39 of 2014 which is replacing Law No.18 of 2004 has been compiled comprehensively and will be the legal foundation of the plantation efforts. “That is based on the sovereignity, independence, democracy, sustainability, integration, solidarity, transparency, and justice,” he said.
While, he said, the law is compiled for the sake of the welfare of Indonesian plantation farmers. One of the careness by the government to the farmers, Gamal explained, have been enshrined in the regulation of Ministry of Agriculture that 20% should facilitate the obligation to build a good plantation.
“It shall remain valid, the contents in Regulation of Agricultural Ministry take into the Law,” he said top the journalists.
Noted, the Law No.39 of 2014 has passed in October 17th 2014 by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who is still as the Indonesian Presdient at that time. (T3)
