MPOB Discussed Palm Oil Sustainability

KUALA LUMPUR–Palm oil businessmen, the government and plantation experts will gather in Kuching, on June 9th, to discuss and analyze the situation in workers sectors.

They will share their experiences about the problems and how they solve the problems, manage the situations. They will do it in Seminar Palm Industry Labour: Issues, Performance and Sustainability (PILIPS 2014) which has become a two-year ceremony done by Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).

“Besides focusing to the labours issues, PILIPS 2014 will aso discuss about the sustainability of palm oil industries,” General Director of MPOB, Datuk Choo Yuen Mei said, Wednesday (4/6/2014).

PILIPS 2014 is hoped to be attended by the directors and managers from many companies, planters, associations, scientists, academies, and policy makers.

The speakers from Malaysia palm oil industries and Indonesian palm oil association will share their perspectives and experiences to utilize the workers in their own country. (T3)
