North Sumatra Smallholder Palm Oil Prices Fall by Rp169.53/kg, Reaching Rp3,801.58/kg for Prime-Age Palms

InfoSAWIT, MEDAN – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for partner smallholders in Indonesia’s North Sumatra province declined significantly for the September 30–October 6, 2026 pricing period, with the price for palms aged 10–20 years falling by Rp169.53 per kilogram to Rp3,801.58/kg.

The highest price in the latest provincial pricing schedule was set at Rp3,805.95/kg for palms aged 21 years, according to the official determination issued by the North Sumatra Provincial Agriculture and Food Security Agency.

InfoSAWIT reported, citing the agency’s FFB pricing decision, that the rates were established following a meeting of the provincial team responsible for setting prices for plasma smallholders’ fresh fruit bunches in Medan on September 30, 2026.

North Sumatra FFB Prices by Palm Age

The following prices apply to partner plasma smallholders in North Sumatra for September 30–October 6, 2026:

3 years: Rp3,202.11/kg

4 years: Rp3,414.22/kg

5 years: Rp3,532.66/kg

6 years: Rp3,637.02/kg

7 years: Rp3,610.46/kg

8 years: Rp3,735.92/kg

9 years: Rp3,770.72/kg

10–20 years: Rp3,801.58/kg

21 years: Rp3,805.95/kg

22 years: Rp3,770.37/kg

23 years: Rp3,717.44/kg

24 years: Rp3,602.90/kg

25 years: Rp3,497.28/kg

26 years: Rp3,469.38/kg

27 years: Rp3,418.14/kg

28 years: Rp3,364.08/kg

29 years: Rp3,308.46/kg

30 years: Rp3,252.83/kg

CPO and Palm Kernel Prices

The provincial pricing calculation also took into account average crude palm oil (CPO) prices in domestic and export markets, which were set at Rp15,043.43/kg, excluding value-added tax (VAT).

The average local palm kernel price was set at Rp13,360.38/kg, also excluding VAT. Meanwhile, the K factor used in calculating FFB prices for the period was established at 93.74%. (T2)
