InfoSAWIT, SAMARINDA — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for partnered oil palm smallholders in East Kalimantan increased in the second half of September 2026, with the benchmark price for palms aged 10–20 years reaching Rp3,617.55 per kilogram.
The price, set for the September 16–30 period, rose by Rp13.18/kg, or approximately 0.37%, from Rp3,604.37/kg in the first half of September.
The East Kalimantan Provincial Plantation Office issued the latest pricing schedule as a reference for FFB transactions involving partnered smallholders. Actual prices received by growers may differ depending on transaction arrangements and other applicable factors.
The price structure varies according to palm age. FFB from three-year-old palms was set at Rp3,176.42/kg, rising to Rp3,277.71/kg for four-year-old palms and Rp3,368.53/kg for five-year-old palms.
Prices continued to increase with palm maturity, reaching Rp3,442.29/kg for six-year-old palms, Rp3,491.93/kg for seven-year-old palms, Rp3,548.29/kg for eight-year-old palms and Rp3,591.83/kg for nine-year-old palms.
For palms aged 21 years, the reference price stood at Rp3,564.65/kg. The price then declined gradually for older palms, reaching Rp3,492.54/kg at 22 years, Rp3,414.68/kg at 23 years, Rp3,375.85/kg at 24 years and Rp3,343.96/kg at 25 years.
The pricing formula also reflected the values of palm oil products used in the calculation. Crude palm oil (CPO) was valued at Rp15,471/kg, while palm kernel was set at Rp13,143.17/kg.
The modest increase in the latest schedule provides a higher reference price for partnered smallholders during the second half of September. However, the published figures remain a pricing benchmark, and the final amount received by growers depends on the terms of individual transactions. (T2)
