InfoSAWIT, MEDAN – The Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) Pricing Team of North Sumatra Province has announced a sharp decline in palm oil FFB prices for the period of May 27–June 2, 2026.
Under the latest agreement, FFB from oil palm trees aged 10–20 years fell by Rp649.80 per kilogram, bringing the benchmark price down to Rp3,252.89/kg.
According to InfoSAWIT’s review of data from the North Sumatra Plantation and Livestock Agency, prices for younger plantations were set at Rp2,760.18/kg for three-year-old palms, Rp2,945.15/kg for four-year-old palms, Rp3,044.57/kg for five-year-old palms, Rp3,129.95/kg for six-year-old palms, Rp3,087.88/kg for seven-year-old palms, and Rp3,203.07/kg for eight-year-old palms.
Nine-year-old palms were priced at Rp3,227.36/kg, while plantations aged 21 years reached Rp3,261.21/kg and 22-year-old palms stood at Rp3,235.16/kg. Older trees were valued at Rp3,185.72/kg for 23-year-old palms, Rp3,092.56/kg for 24-year-old palms, and Rp3,008.37/kg for 25-year-old palms.
Prices for older plantations continued to weaken, with 26-year-old palms set at Rp2,987.50/kg, 27-year-old palms at Rp2,946.41/kg, 28-year-old palms at Rp2,903.02/kg, 29-year-old palms at Rp2,858.62/kg, and 30-year-old palms at Rp2,814.22/kg.
The pricing team also established the benchmark crude palm oil (CPO) price at Rp12,370.60/kg, while palm kernel prices were fixed at Rp13,975.00/kg, with a K index of 93.27%.
InfoSAWIT notes that the figures are intended solely as official pricing references issued by the provincial plantation authority, while actual transaction prices in the field may vary depending on local market conditions and purchasing arrangements. (T2)
