JAKARTA – Secretary of Marine and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti said, Indonesian fisheries, kinds of seafood are about to be embargo by European Union (EU) countries, just as same as the palm oil commodity.
“You all might have heard that palm oil is threatened to be about embargo, or boycott just because of a dead elephant and fire in the forest which keep happening in Indonesia. It will be too to seafood. EU has committed to make tracebility. The US itself, about 2 weeks ago, had discussed the same thing,” he said, Monday (29/3) as quoted from Kompas.
Susi thought, now every side relating to the fisheries sectors should be together to deny and prove to the world that Indonesia is a country to reject slavery.(T3)
