KUALASIMPANG – On Sunday (29/3), Forum EkosistemLeuser (FKL) together withYayasanHutanAlamdanLingkungan Aceh (HAKA) damaged thousands of palm oil trees in a 1.071 hectare area which was in the Leuser Ecosystem Region, in Village of Tenggulun, Subdistrict of Tenggulun, District of Aceh Tamiang.
Advisor of FKL, Rudi Putra said to Serambi, in the area, there were at least 1.071 hectares illegal palm oil trees which were planted by the people; there were 11 ownerships and among them, the trees belonged to palm oil plantation company.
The damage of the illegal palm oil trees in the Leuser Ecosystem Region was having the firm justice from the Decision of Regent of Aceh Tamiang. “The regional government will re – plant the area within the forest plantation which could also be advantaged by the people,” he said. (T3)
