TANAH LAUT–The Regional Government of Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan Province develops biogas energy from palm oil waste to solve the energy crisis in the region.
Regent of Tanah Laut, Bambang Alamsyah said, developing the palm oil biogas is supported by Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) The support is the help (financial help) to build biogas power plant within one megawatt capacity in District of Tanah Laut, 2015. “We will follow up the help, such as, preparing the area to build the power,” he explained.
He convinced, his side could fulfill what the Ministry of EMR wants to realize the Biogas Power Plant. “The energy crisis relates to the economy empowerment, safety so it should be solved simultanously and continously by running the renewable energy empowerment programme,” he said, Friday (27/3) as quoted from Kalimantan News.
