BENGKULU – Governor of Bengkulu, Junaidi Hamsyah asked, the people who live in the outer island of Enggano should not plant palm oil tree in order to maintain the clean and fresh water.
“Palm oil trees are famously known to absorb the water, so in order not to have lack of water or water crisis in Enggano, do not plant palm oil,” he said when innagurating the clean water cultivation which the Navy has built in Village of Malakoni, Subdistrict of Enggano Island, District of North Bengkulu, Wednesday (25/3) as quoted from Rima News.
The Governor continued, to build clean and fresh water processing, it spends billions of rupiah, just like what the Navy has built which the people in the region could consume it. (T3)
