InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) prices at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) were withdrawn (WD) on Wednesday (April 8, 2026), with the highest bid recorded at Rp15,750/kg.
This marks a decline of Rp525/kg or 3.23% compared to the previous day’s price of Rp16,275/kg.
According to KPBN data, the Franco Dumai opening price stood at Rp15,900/kg before the withdrawal occurred.
The domestic price decline mirrors global market trends, where CPO futures on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange fell sharply following a drop in crude oil prices after the U.S.-Iran ceasefire.
Reuters reported that the June 2026 benchmark contract dropped RM150 per ton, or 3.15%, to RM4,615 per ton.
Weaker crude oil prices reduce the attractiveness of palm oil as a biodiesel feedstock, further pressuring the market. (T2)
