InfoSAWIT, ACEH TAMIANG – The Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil Farmers Forum (FORTASBI) has distributed educational assistance to children affected by flooding in Aceh Tamiang Regency as part of solidarity efforts by independent Smallholders toward disaster-affected communities in Sumatra.
In collaboration with the Kitabisa donation platform and supported by Elang Association volunteers, FORTASBI distributed hundreds of school supply packages—including backpacks, books, and stationery—to students at SD Negeri Alus Selebu and Madrasah Negeri 3 Aceh Tamiang.
As cited by InfoSAWIT from Fortasbi on Tuesday (February 24, 2026), the initiative forms part of the organisation’s disaster response programme from emergency relief through post-flood rehabilitation stages.
Total assistance collected and distributed to flood victims across several regions in Sumatra has reached IDR 115 million.
Funding was sourced from certified independent Smallholders, FORTASBI members, RSPO-affiliated cooperatives, and several Village Consultative Bodies (BPD) in Central Kalimantan.
The support is expected to help ease the burden on affected communities while encouraging children to resume their education. (T2)
