InfoSAWIT, BUOL — An Extraordinary General Meeting (RALB) of Koperasi Tani Plasma Amanah, held at the Winangun Village Hall, Bukal District, Buol Regency, Central Sulawesi, on Wednesday (28/1/2026), marked a critical turning point for cooperative members seeking to restore accountability in the management of their oil palm plasma cooperative.
The meeting was convened after the majority of members concluded that the previous management had failed to fulfill fundamental cooperative obligations, particularly the regular and transparent conduct of Annual General Meetings (RAT). For more than three years, members had repeatedly urged the management to hold a RAT, both directly and through facilitation by village, sub-district, and regional governments, without success.
One member emphasized during the forum that the RALB was not driven by personal conflict but represented an organizational correction. According to members, the objective was to return the cooperative to its foundational principles and compliance with prevailing legal provisions.
As stated in an official release published by InfoSAWIT on Sunday (1/2/2026), the process leading to the RALB involved a lengthy series of steps. The organizing committee was formed following a members’ meeting facilitated by the Bukal Sub-district Government on 12 January 2026. At that meeting, members collectively agreed that an extraordinary meeting was the legitimate mechanism to prevent prolonged stagnation in cooperative leadership.
The committee subsequently distributed invitations to all members in Winangun and Mooyong villages through direct delivery, local media announcements, and online publication. To maximize participation, members unable to attend physically were provided access via the Zoom platform.
The RALB ran from 10:00 a.m. to 3:57 p.m. Central Indonesia Time and was attended by regional government representatives, including the heads of Winangun and Mooyong villages, the Bukal Sub-district Head, the Head of the Buol Regency Cooperative Office, and the Regional Secretary of Buol. Their presence was cited as providing legitimacy and ensuring the forum complied with regulatory requirements.
The main agenda of the meeting was the election of new management and supervisory boards. The election was conducted openly under the leadership agreed upon by the forum. The RALB appointed Seniwati, S.Si as Chairperson, Boyadi as Vice Chairperson, Kasmir Is Makakeno as Secretary, Heronimus Leo as Deputy Secretary, and Marsowan as Treasurer.
The Supervisory Board was formed with Japardin as Chair, supported by Rafael Raja and Akarius Sambu as members.
The newly elected management was immediately mandated to conduct administrative and financial audits, inventory cooperative assets, and reorganize membership data. They were also tasked with advocating for the economic interests of members within the oil palm plasma partnership scheme, which members said had yet to deliver fair outcomes for Smallholders.
For members, the RALB represented more than a leadership change. It marked a broader institutional reform aimed at restoring the cooperative as a transparent and member-oriented collective economic instrument. (T2)
