InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA — The Indonesian government has officially set the Biodiesel Market Price Index (HIP BBN) for January 2026 at Rp13,631 per liter, excluding transportation costs, effective from January 1, 2026.
The decision was issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources through the Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation. The policy supports the implementation of Indonesia’s mandatory biodiesel blending program.
The CPO-to-biodiesel conversion rate was set at US$85 per metric ton, while the exchange rate reference used in the calculation was Rp16,684 per US dollar, based on Bank Indonesia’s average mid-rate from November 25 to December 24, 2025.
The HIP BBN serves as a key reference for biodiesel payments under Indonesia’s national energy mix policy and is critical for stakeholders across the palm oil and energy sectors. (T2)
