InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The Ministry of Industry has formally opened wider public participation in downstream ISPO implementation through Ministerial Regulation No. 38/2025, which introduces complaint mechanisms, special audits, and a national information system.
RR Citra Rapati from the Directorate of Chemical, Oleochemical, and Feed Industries said complaints can be submitted by businesses, government agencies, or the public, including through NGOs acting as legal representatives.
“All complaints must be submitted in writing with supporting documents and will be resolved within 30 working days,” she explained during the ISPO Update FGD.
The regulation also allows for special audits upon request from the Minister or Director General, or following public complaints. In addition, a national ISPO dashboard will integrate data across plantations, downstream industries, and bioenergy sectors to support transparency and market access.
The Ministry expects these measures to strengthen sustainability assurance and enhance global acceptance of Indonesian palm oil products. (T2)
