Limited Fertilizers, Palm Oil Farmers in Mamuju Get Losts

MAMUJU –Head of Cultivation and Plantation Result Marketing, Plantation Agency of West Sulawesi, Abdul Waris Bestari, Tuesday (10/3) said, about 1.000 palm oil farmers in Village of Pontana Kanyang, Subdistrict of Budong, District of Central Mamuju, West Sulawesi have no fertilizers.

It happened, he said as quoted from Antara, for the distributors were also out of stock. So he hoped, the empty fertilizer should be solved so the farmers will not get more losts.

Knowing the complaints, Head of Branch, PT Pertani, West Sulawesi, Andi Ilham said, PT Pertani as the official fertilizer distributor in West Sulawesi has prepared the stock about 12.000 tons to the farmers in three districts, they are, Central Mamuju, Polewali Mandar and Mamuju.

He emphasized, the rare fertilizers should be reported to the Pesticide and Fertilizer Monitoring Commission in West Sulawesi in order to know what the cause is.  “The problem should be solved and if there is one single violation, it should be reported to the law officers,” he said. (T3)
