Malaysia Considers to Run B10

KUALA LUMPUR – Government of Malaysia considers to run biodiesel programme or the mixture of crude palm oil (CPO) to diesel about 10% (B10) nationally.

Secretary of Plantation Industry and Commodity, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said, in the long term, the programme will consume domestic palm oil about 1,2 millions tons in every year.

He continued, Malaysia will implement the steps to increase palm oil consumption in the domestic and decrease  the stocks at once.

The government of Malaysia, Unggah claimed, started the B5 programme in 2011 and then it develops to be B7 which has been fully run in Semenanjung Malaysia since November 2014.

“Now we are thinking to run B10 nationally,” he explained as quoted from Bernama, Tuesday (3/3). (T3)
