SIMPANG KANAN – Four famers groups in Subdistrict Simpang Kanan, on Thursday (29/2) got 12.000 palm oil seeds from Plantation Agency, District of Rokan Hilir, Riau Province.
Head of Subdistrict Simpang Kanan, Azhar hoped, the members of the farmers group could mantain and conserve the forest when planting the seeds – not by burning the forest and area.
“Let us maintain the forest so that there will no more fire which kept happening in last years. Though the farmers groups, no excuse, should take care it each other. They having empty area, do not burn so the environment keeps good,” he said as quoted from Spirit Riau.
On the other hand, the member of Legislator from the region, Suheli asked, the seeds should be well used and not be resold. (T3)
