JAKARTA – Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), Friday (20/2) reported, Indonesian crude palm oil (CPO) and the derivatives in January 2015 just reached 1,8 millions tons or decreased about 8% than the previous month, December 2014 which reaching 1,97 millions tons.
If they are compared year on year, Indonesian CPO and derivatives increased about 240 thousands of tons or 15% in January 2015 than them in January 2014, which were 1,57 millions tons.
“Indonesian main markets mostly reduce the demands in the beginning of this year,” Executive Director of IPOBA, Fadhil Hasan mentioned in a press conference.
He also explained, the CPO and derivatives exports to China decreased 40%, from 328,45 thousands of tons in December 2014 to be 196,84 thousands of tons in January 2015. Then India had decreasing demands about 39,7% to be 298.27 thousands of tons from 494,72 thousands of tons in December 2014
Beside that, the decreasing exports volume also did happen in United States about 15%, in the African countries, they decreased 8%, in the European Union, they decreased 3,6% than them in December 2014. (T3)
