JAKARTA –Indonesian Chambers thought, food security is the real challenge for every side. It is the problem for 250 millions of Indonesian people and about 5 billion men in the world which keep increasing.
Chairman of Indonesian Chambers, Suryo Bambang Sulisto said, Indonesia has the big natural resource. But for the many people and the increasing population in every year, the natural resources should be well managed to fulfill the basic needs, but not by instant policy, that is, import.
“The pressure and dependence of import to the man basic needs in the next year will be more complicated by the running of free trade in the regional and global world,” he said in the ceremony Jakarta Food Security Summit (JFSS), in Jakarta, Thursday (12/2).
Vice Chairman of Chambers in Agribusiness and Food, Franky O. Widjaja said, the main key to realizee the increasing production and productivity is by implementing good agricultural practice comprehensively and consequently. (T3)
