InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) reference price at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) increased on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, even as Malaysian palm oil futures closed lower amid profit-taking following the previous session’s gains.
The KPBN CPO price was set at Rp14,666 per kilogram, up Rp61, or around 0.42%, from Rp14,605 per kilogram on Monday.
According to data obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO price was also set at Rp14,666 per kilogram, while the FOB Talang Duku price stood at Rp14,441 per kilogram.
The Franco Teluk Bayur tender opened at Rp14,466 per kilogram but was withdrawn, with the highest bid recorded at Rp14,389 per kilogram.
Malaysian CPO Futures Decline
In Malaysia, the benchmark palm oil futures market moved in the opposite direction.
CPO futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Tuesday as traders took profits after prices strengthened during the previous trading session.
The October 2026 contract fell RM50 to RM4,340 per tonne, while the November contract declined RM23 to RM4,457 per tonne. The December contract dropped RM18 to RM4,560 per tonne.
Further along the curve, the January 2027 contract slipped RM9 to RM4,663 per tonne, while February 2027 declined RM3 to RM4,758 per tonne.
The March 2027 contract was the exception, edging up RM2 to RM4,843 per tonne.
Trading activity increased during the session. Total volume rose to 92,828 lots, from 87,313 lots on Monday, while open interest edged up to 329,375 contracts from 329,113 contracts.
In the physical market, October-delivery CPO in southern Malaysia fell RM40 to RM4,380 per tonne.

KPBN’s CPO tender prices, excluding value-added tax, on Tuesday were as follows:

CIF Port of Gresik: Rp14,666/kg (withdrawn); highest bid Rp14,489/kg – WNI
FOB Talang Duku: Rp14,441/kg – AGM
Franco Teluk Bayur: Rp14,466/kg (withdrawn); highest bid Rp14,389/kg – WNI
Loco PKS Sei Tapung: Rp14,427/kg – AGM
Loco PKS Parindu: Rp14,276/kg – EUP
Loco PKS Ngabang: Rp14,291/kg – EUP
Loco PKS Kembayan: Rp14,166/kg – EUP
For other palm derivatives, the CPKO Franco Dumai tender was withdrawn at Rp27,554/kg, with the highest bid at Rp26,180/kg from IBP.
The PK Franco Belawan price stood at Rp12,286/kg, offered by MM.
The contrasting movements between Indonesia’s KPBN reference price and Malaysian futures highlight the differing dynamics across physical and futures markets as traders continue to assess supply, demand and price prospects for palm oil. (T2)
