Central Kalimantan Plasma Palm Oil FFB Prices Drop Rp33.75/kg in Early May 2026

InfoSAWIT, PALANGKA RAYA – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for plasma smallholder palm oil plantations in Central Kalimantan Province declined during the first pricing period of May 2026, following softer movements in crude palm oil and palm kernel prices.

Based on the agreement reached by the Central Kalimantan Provincial FFB Pricing Team for the May 1–15, 2026 period, FFB prices for oil palm trees aged 10–20 years were set at Rp3,749.40 per kilogram, down Rp33.75/kg from the previous period.

The next pricing meeting for the second period of May 2026 is scheduled to take place on June 4, 2026, in Palangka Raya.

According to data obtained by InfoSAWIT from the Central Kalimantan Plantation Agency, FFB prices varied by plantation age. Three-year-old palms were priced at Rp3,054.35/kg, while four-year-old plantations stood at Rp3,173.77/kg. Trees aged five to eight years ranged from Rp3,325.04/kg to Rp3,544.24/kg.

Meanwhile, plantations aged nine years were set at Rp3,626.06/kg, while trees aged 10–20 years recorded the highest benchmark at Rp3,749.40/kg. Older plantations aged 21 to 25 years ranged from Rp3,696.64/kg down to Rp3,349.53/kg.

The provincial team also determined the reference crude palm oil (CPO) price at Rp15,079.85/kg and kernel price at Rp15,049.74/kg, with a K index of 92.05%.

The Central Kalimantan government noted that the published figures represent official benchmark prices issued by the provincial plantation authority, while actual transaction prices in the field may differ depending on local market conditions and mill purchasing policies. (T2)
