InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) prices at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) increased on Tuesday (19/5/2026), tracking stronger sentiment in the regional palm oil market amid rising speculation over Indonesia’s potential export control policies.

KPBN set the CPO price at Rp15,388/kg on Tuesday, up Rp88/kg or approximately 0.58% compared to Monday’s (18/5/2026) price of Rp15,300/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO price was set at Rp15,388/kg, while the FOB Talang Duku price reached Rp15,188/kg. Meanwhile, Loco Parindu CPO opened at Rp15,038/kg but was later withdrawn (WD), with the highest bid recorded at Rp14,850/kg.

At the same time, crude palm oil futures on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange extended gains for a third consecutive trading session on Tuesday, supported by market rumors regarding possible export restriction policies from Indonesia, the world’s largest palm oil exporter.

According to Reuters, the benchmark August 2026 CPO futures contract on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange closed RM53 per ton higher, or about 1.17% stronger, at RM4,587 per ton. During afternoon trading, the contract had surged as much as 2.23% before settling at a more stable level by market close.

In addition to speculation surrounding Indonesia’s policy direction, stronger vegetable oil prices in China also provided support to Malaysian palm oil futures. The most active soybean oil contract on the Dalian Exchange rose 1.67%, while palm oil futures on the same exchange gained 1.76%.
