CPO Prices at KPBN Rise Again as Malaysian Palm Oil Futures Extend Gains

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) prices at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) rose again on Monday (18/5/2026), supported by stronger trading sentiment in the Malaysian palm oil futures market amid rising global crude oil prices.

KPBN set the CPO price at Rp15,300 per kilogram on Monday, up Rp200/kg or approximately 1.32 percent compared to Rp15,100/kg recorded on Wednesday (13/5/2026).

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO price was fixed at Rp15,300/kg. Meanwhile, the Loco Parindu contract opened at Rp14,950/kg but was later withdrawn, with the highest bid recorded at Rp14,785/kg.

In Malaysia, crude palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Monday’s trading session, buoyed by gains in global crude oil prices that lifted sentiment across the vegetable oil commodity market.

As reported by Bernama, the June 2026 spot contract climbed RM101 to RM4,491 per ton. The July 2026 contract rose RM102 to RM4,522 per ton, while the August 2026 contract gained RM97 to RM4,534 per ton.

Meanwhile, the September 2026 contract increased RM93 to RM4,542 per ton. October 2026 futures added RM84 to RM4,549 per ton, while November 2026 contracts advanced RM80 to RM4,561 per ton.

Trading activity, however, weakened slightly. Total trading volume declined to 87,585 lots from 98,554 lots recorded in the previous Friday’s session. Open interest also edged lower to 283,019 contracts from 285,554 contracts previously.

Market observers expect CPO prices to remain influenced by developments in global energy prices, fluctuations in the Malaysian ringgit exchange rate, and international vegetable oil demand dynamics in the coming weeks.

Below are the KPBN tender prices (excluding VAT) on Monday (18/5/2026):
