InfoSAWIT, KUALA LUMPUR – Traceability and supply chain integrity are becoming increasingly critical in meeting global palm oil sustainability standards, including the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification and NDPE (No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation) commitments.
The issue was highlighted by Mooi-See Tor during the International Palm Oil Millers Conference (IPOMC) 2026 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
According to Apical’s official communication channel, cited by InfoSAWIT on Thursday (May 14, 2026), Mooi-See stated that “traceability and supply chain integrity have now become crucial factors in fulfilling sustainability standards such as RSPO and NDPE.”
During the session, Apical emphasized the strategic role of palm oil mills as key control points connecting upstream operations with downstream customer requirements. The company believes stronger monitoring at the mill level can enhance supply chain visibility while reinforcing compliance with sustainability standards.
Enhanced oversight at the mill level is also expected to strengthen global market confidence in responsible palm oil sourcing practices. The initiative forms part of the industry’s broader effort to address increasing demands from consumers and international regulators for greater supply chain transparency.
Through these initiatives, Apical reaffirmed its commitment to promoting practical solutions that strengthen traceability systems while supporting a more resilient and sustainable palm oil industry. (T2)
