InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) prices at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) declined on Tuesday (May 12, 2026), tracking weaker trading sentiment in the Malaysian palm oil futures market.
KPBN set the CPO price at Rp15,150/kg on Tuesday, down Rp175/kg or approximately 1.14% compared to Rp15,325/kg recorded on Monday (May 11, 2026).
According to data obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO price was set at Rp15,150/kg, while Loco Sei Tapung was priced at Rp14,911/kg and Loco Talang Duku at Rp14,950/kg. Meanwhile, the Loco Parindu tender opened at Rp14,800/kg but ended in withdrawal (WD), with the highest bid reaching Rp14,671/kg.
In the futures market, crude palm oil trading on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives weakened again during Tuesday’s session after posting a modest gain in the previous trading day.
According to Reuters, the benchmark July 2026 CPO contract on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange fell RM33 per ton, or about 0.73%, to close at RM4,483 per metric ton. The contract had previously edged up 0.24% in the prior session.
Market pressure largely came from weaker palm olein contracts on China’s Dalian Commodity Exchange during Asian trading hours. In Dalian, the most-active soybean oil contract rose 0.16%, while palm oil futures slipped 1.35%. Meanwhile, soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) gained 0.81%.
