InfoSAWIT, SIMALUNGUN – Police in Simalungun have arrested a suspected methamphetamine dealer operating in an oil palm plantation area in Bah Bulian Village, Raya Kahean District.
The suspect, identified by initials SS (38), was apprehended following reports of narcotics distribution in the area. During arrest, police said he resisted using scissors in an attempt to escape, but officers quickly subdued him.
According to Polres Simalungun spokesperson Verry Purba, authorities confiscated 2.68 grams of methamphetamine believed ready for sale, along with Rp1.213 million in cash, suspected proceeds from drug transactions.
Preliminary investigations indicate the narcotics were sourced from Pematang Siantar before being redistributed across Raya Kahean and surrounding areas.
Police are now investigating possible upstream suppliers and wider trafficking links. (T2)
