Riau Independent Smallholders’ FFB Price Falls for April 29–May 5, 2026

InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent oil palm Smallholders in Riau declined for the April 29–May 5, 2026 pricing period, with the benchmark price for nine-year-old palms dropping by Rp102.1 per kilogram to Rp3,854.21/kg, according to the latest pricing decree issued by the provincial pricing team.

Based on the official FFB pricing circular No. 14, monitored by InfoSAWIT through the Riau Provincial Plantation Agency, price adjustments were recorded across nearly all crop age categories, reflecting softer market fundamentals in the upstream palm oil sector.

For younger palms, FFB from three-year-old trees was set at Rp2,991.64/kg, while four-year-old palms were priced at Rp3,331.74/kg. Prices continued to rise with tree maturity, reaching Rp3,570.53/kg for five-year-old palms, Rp3,706.58/kg for six-year-old palms, Rp3,790.70/kg for seven-year-old palms, and Rp3,836.03/kg for eight-year-old palms.

The highest benchmark remained in the prime production age bracket, where nine-year-old palms were priced at Rp3,854.21/kg, while palms aged 10 to 20 years were set at Rp3,816.66/kg.

For older plantations, the pricing trend gradually tapered, with 21-year-old palms valued at Rp3,754.87/kg, 22-year-old palms at Rp3,683.02/kg, 23-year-old palms at Rp3,601.29/kg, 24-year-old palms at Rp3,539.24/kg, and 25-year-old palms at Rp3,488.54/kg.

Meanwhile, palms aged 26 years were priced at Rp3,470.21/kg, followed by 27-year-old palms at Rp3,442.07/kg, 28-year-old palms at Rp3,388.55/kg, 29-year-old palms at Rp3,349.06/kg, and 30-year-old palms at Rp3,258.80/kg.

The pricing team also set the reference crude palm oil (CPO) price at Rp15,291.64/kg, palm kernel at Rp16,007.97/kg, and shell value at Rp22.66/kg, with the K index determined at 92.22%.

The provincial benchmark serves as a pricing reference for independent Smallholders, although actual transactions at farmgate level may vary depending on local market conditions, transportation costs, and mill demand. (T2)
