InfoSAWIT, SOUTH LAMPUNG – Joint security forces from the Indonesian military (TNI) and police (Polri) have intensified security measures at plantation assets owned by PTPN IV Regional 7 in Natar, South Lampung, to prevent theft of fresh fruit bunches (FFB).

The operation took place on Friday (March 27, 2026) at around 11:30 PM in Dwi Darma Hamlet, Negara Ratu Village.

Personnel involved included Natar Police (Polsek), Marine Battalion 7, Koramil Natar, and Infantry Battalion 143/TWEJ.

During the operation, authorities assisted the company and secured a number of palm fruit bunches suspected to belong to PTPN. The evidence was taken to Natar Police Station for further processing.

Natar Police Chief AKP Setio Budi Howo said the operation was a preventive measure.

“We carried out intensive security operations in plantation areas to prevent potential theft of palm oil harvests,” he stated, as reported by InfoSAWIT from Polri Public Relations.

He added that the activity reflects a commitment to maintaining public order and safeguarding corporate assets.

“This is part of our commitment to ensuring security and creating a safe and conducive environment,” he said.

Authorities also conducted routine patrols and urged the public not to engage in illegal harvesting activities. (T2)
