InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The transformation undertaken by PTPN Group toward a modern agribusiness company driven by technology and digitalization is beginning to deliver tangible results. Throughout 2025, PTPN IV PalmCo emerged as the fastest-growing entity while also recording the best performance among all subsidiaries under the PTPN III (Persero) Plantation Holding.
The achievement was highlighted during the presentation of the Company’s Long-Term Plan (RJPP) 2026–2030 of PTPN III (Persero) under Danantara Indonesia. President Director of PTPN III (Persero), Denaldy Mulino Mauna, specifically emphasized PalmCo’s performance and asked President Director of PTPN IV PalmCo, Jatmiko K. Santosa, to explain the key factors behind the surge.
Jatmiko stressed that PalmCo’s performance improvement was not driven by complex strategies, but rather by strengthening fundamental principles consistently across all organizational levels.
“The key is actually going back to the basics. From the beginning, I only emphasized three simple principles to the entire organization,” he said in an official statement reported by InfoSAWIT on Saturday (March 28, 2026).
These three principles include integrity and honesty, strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP), and prioritizing performance over prestige.
According to him, building a culture of integrity is the main foundation of the company’s transformation, particularly in ensuring reliable field data as the basis for decision-making. “We must rely on real data. I ask that field conditions be reported as they are, so that the solutions taken are accurate,” he said.
He added that PalmCo’s business orientation has shifted from merely pursuing production volume to creating sustainable profitability. “We are no longer chasing good administrative appearances, but real corporate health and profitability,” he emphasized.
This transformation is also reflected in operational discipline at the plantation level. PalmCo consistently applies best management practices, including strict control of harvest maturity standards to ensure fresh fruit bunches are harvested at optimal levels.
This approach aims to maximize crude palm oil (CPO) extraction rates while improving efficiency and competitiveness. “We want every kilogram of fruit to produce the best CPO output. This is about efficiency and competitiveness,” Jatmiko stated.
In addition, the company has tightened budget discipline through a cost-effectiveness approach, where every expenditure is measured against its contribution to profit per hectare.
On the organizational side, PalmCo is fostering a more agile and collaborative work culture following the consolidation of the PTPN Group, eliminating silos between units. “Individual performance is important, but team collaboration is far more decisive. All units must move as one,” he explained.
Despite achieving the best performance in 2025, Jatmiko emphasized that this is not the final goal. “Achievement is a foundation, not the finish line. If we work properly and create value, reputation will follow,” he said.
Meanwhile, Denaldy Mulino Mauna assessed that PalmCo’s strategy aligns with PTPN Group’s transformation into a world-class smart agri company.
According to him, the transformation is built on strengthening superior human resources, improving productivity, efficiency, and speed in decision-making.
“Productivity and efficiency are key pillars. However, execution speed is the differentiator. What PalmCo has done shows that strengthening fundamentals combined with execution speed can deliver performance leaps,” Denaldy said.
PalmCo’s performance throughout 2025 is seen as evidence that structural and cultural transformation within PTPN Group has begun to produce concrete results amid increasingly competitive global palm oil industry dynamics. (T2)
