InfoSAWIT, PADANG – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for palm oil in West Sumatra increased during the third period of March (March 15–21, 2026), based on the official pricing team’s decision.
FFB prices for trees aged 10–20 years rose by Rp185.52/kg to Rp3,963.61/kg.
According to data obtained by InfoSAWIT from the West Sumatra Plantation, Food Crops, and Horticulture Agency, prices for younger trees were set at Rp3,106.01/kg (3 years), Rp3,480.05/kg (5 years), and Rp3,873.95/kg (8 years).
Meanwhile, prices peaked in the productive age range, with 9-year-old trees at Rp3,951.96/kg and 10–20-year-old trees at Rp3,963.61/kg. Prices gradually declined for older trees.
In this pricing period, crude palm oil (CPO) was set at Rp15,446.25/kg, kernel at Rp14,277.86/kg, and shell value at Rp17.50/kg, with a K index of 93.21%.
This increase provides a positive signal for palm oil farmers in the region, although actual prices in the field may vary depending on local conditions.
