InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) price set by PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) rose to Rp14,950/kg on Friday (6 March 2026), marking an increase of Rp150/kg or around 1.01% compared to Rp14,800/kg recorded on Thursday.
According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO price was set at Rp14,950/kg, while Franco Teluk Bayur reached Rp14,820/kg and FOB Talang Duku was set at Rp14,750/kg.
According to Reuters, crude palm oil futures on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange surged to their highest level in five weeks during Friday’s trading, supported by stronger edible oil prices on the Dalian Commodity Exchange and a weaker Malaysian ringgit.
The benchmark May 2026 CPO contract rose RM59 per ton, or around 1.4%, to RM4,266 per ton by the midday break.
On a weekly basis, the contract has gained around 5.54%, driven by the rally in global crude oil prices. If sustained through the close, this would mark the largest weekly gain since the week of 25 November 2024.
In other vegetable oil markets, the most active soyoil contract on the Dalian exchange rose 1.13%, while the palm oil contract climbed 2.33%. Meanwhile, the Chicago Board of Trade soyoil contract fell 0.65%.
