GAPKI–ILO Hold RBC and HRDD Training to Strengthen Labor and Human Rights Practices in Palm Oil Sector

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA — GAPKI and the International Labour Organization held a Responsible Business Conduct and Human Rights Due Diligence training program for member palm oil companies in Jakarta on January 28–29, 2026.

The program aims to strengthen corporate capacity in responsible business conduct and human rights due diligence, particularly on labor issues across the palm oil supply chain.

GAPKI Chairman Eddy Martono said labor and human rights compliance is now central to competitiveness and sustainability. Participants studied international RBC instruments, ILO conventions, and practical HRDD implementation tools.

Each company must produce an action plan and timeline, with at least ten firms selected for six months of follow-up mentoring. The initiative is part of GAPKI–ILO cooperation since 2017 under the RealGains project framework. (T2)
