InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) prices at Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) were set at Rp14,411 per kilogram on Friday (January 9, 2026), marking an increase of Rp109/kg or 0.76% compared to Thursday’s price of Rp14,302/kg.
Based on information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, CPO prices were recorded at Rp14,411/kg for Franco Dumai, Rp14,211/kg for FOB Talang Duku, and Rp14,172/kg for Loco Sei Tapung.
Meanwhile, crude palm oil futures on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange closed slightly lower on Friday due to profit-taking, although prices still posted weekly gains. Positive sentiment was supported by stronger prices of competing vegetable oils on the Dalian and Chicago exchanges, as well as Indonesia’s plan to raise palm oil export levies.
According to Reuters, as published online by InfoSAWIT, the benchmark March 2026 palm oil contract fell RM5 per ton, or 0.12%, to RM4,038 per ton at the close. Despite the daily decline, the contract recorded a weekly gain of 1.18%.
In global vegetable oil markets, the most-active soybean oil contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange rose 0.33%, while palm oil contracts on the same exchange gained 0.6%. Soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade also increased by 0.51%. (T2)
