InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil prices at Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) rose 0.99% on Thursday (January 8, 2026), with CPO set at Rp 14,302/kg, up Rp 140/kg from the previous session.
KPBN data showed Franco Dumai prices at Rp 14,302/kg, FOB Talang Duku at Rp 14,102/kg, and Loco Teluk Bayur at Rp 14,172/kg.
Meanwhile, Malaysian palm oil futures traded nearly unchanged. According to Reuters, as published online by InfoSAWIT, the benchmark March 2026 CPO contract on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange slipped RM 1 per ton, or 0.02%, to RM 4,032 per ton at midday.
Market sentiment was shaped by expectations of rising Malaysian inventories, Indonesia’s potential increase in palm oil export levies to support biodiesel funding, and mixed movements in rival edible oils.
Indonesia consumed 14.2 million kiloliters of palm-based biodiesel in 2025, up 7.6% year-on-year, driven by the B40 blending mandate. (T2)
