InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) rose to IDR 14,575/kg on Tuesday (29 July 2025), marking an increase of IDR 81/kg or approximately 0.56% compared to Monday’s (28 July 2025) price of IDR 14,494/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO Franco Belawan price was set at IDR 14,575/kg. The Franco Dumai price was also opened at IDR 14,575/kg, but there was a withdrawal (WD) with the highest bid recorded at IDR 14,550/kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, Malaysian crude palm oil futures reversed earlier losses to close higher on Tuesday (29 July 2025). The recovery was driven by bargain-hunting from investors and short-covering activities, which lent further support to the market.

The benchmark palm oil contract for October delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose by 20 ringgit or 0.47% to 4,262 ringgit (approximately US$1,005.90) per metric ton at the midday break. This rebound came after two consecutive sessions of decline.

A Kuala Lumpur-based trader noted that the market's return to positive territory was mainly due to late-session bargain buying. "It could also be that some short coverings are pushing up the market," the trader said.

In global vegetable oil markets, Dalian’s most active soyoil contract rose by 1.4%, while its palm oil contract increased by 0.76%. Conversely, soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) declined by 0.18%.
