InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA — The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was set at Rp13,225/kg on Thursday (June 12, 2025), marking a 0.76% increase or an increase of approximately Rp100/kg compared to the CPO price on Wednesday (June 11, 2025), which reached Rp13,125/kg.
According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO price for Franco Belawan & Dumai is set at Rp13,225/kg. The CPO price for Loco Parindu opened at Rp12,875/kg, but there was a withdrawal with the highest offer price for CPO at Rp12,757/kg.
Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, the price of crude palm oil (CPO) on the Malaysian Exchange slightly strengthened at the close of trading on Thursday (June 12, 2025), after experiencing pressure for two consecutive days. This increase was driven by bargain buying and expectations that CPO production in June will gradually increase.
The benchmark CPO futures contract for August 2025 delivery on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange rose by RM1 per ton or approximately 0.03%, to RM3,840 per metric ton, equivalent to about US$910.60.
A trader based in Kuala Lumpur revealed that this increase is supported by projections of slowing production growth and improved export prospects due to more competitive prices. “This condition supports price movements amid pressure from competing vegetable oils,” he stated.
However, the strengthening of CPO prices is not very significant as it is limited by weakness in the global vegetable oil market. The most active soyoil contract prices in Dalian (DBYcv1) fell by 0.44%, while the palm oil contract prices (DCPcv1) also weakened by 0.22%. On the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), soyoil prices (BOc2) also declined by 0.58%.
