InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom rose by 0.42% on Tuesday (27 May 2025), reaching IDR 13,180/kg, up IDR 55/kg from Monday’s price of IDR 13,125/kg.
According to KPBN data obtained by InfoSAWIT, CPO Franco Belawan & Dumai was priced at IDR 13,180/kg. Loco Pelaihari opened at IDR 12,626/kg, but the auction ended in a withdrawal (WD) with the highest bid at IDR 12,100/kg.
Meanwhile, according to Reuters, Malaysia's benchmark CPO futures experienced a slight decline on Tuesday, after two consecutive sessions of gains. The drop was attributed to market concerns over a potential rise in production and stock levels in the coming months.
The August 2025 CPO futures contract (FCPOc3) on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives fell by RM27, or about 0.7%, to RM3,806 per metric ton at midday break — approximately US$903.61 per ton.
Traders are currently awaiting the monthly report from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), scheduled for release on 10 June, which will provide official updates on supply, demand, stocks, and production data.
Palm oil exports from Malaysia between 1–25 May rose between 7.3% and 11.6% compared to the same period last month, according to several cargo surveyors. However, the increase was not enough to lift prices amid oversupply concerns.
Globally, Dalian’s most active soybean oil contract (DBYcv1) declined by 0.08%, while palm oil futures on the same exchange (DCPcv1) rose 0.3%. On the Chicago Board of Trade, soybean oil prices (BOcv1) edged up 0.08%, reflecting continued uncertainty in the global vegetable oil market.
