InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA — Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) price at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) edged higher on Thursday, October 15, 2026, even as most palm oil futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives declined under pressure from weaker soybean oil prices.
KPBN set its CPO price at Rp14,988 per kilogram, up Rp38/kg, or approximately 0.25%, from Rp14,950/kg on Wednesday.
According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai price was established at Rp14,988/kg. At FOB Talang Duku, the opening price was Rp14,738/kg before the tender was withdrawn, with the highest bid recorded at Rp14,546/kg.
The Franco Teluk Bayur tender also ended in withdrawal. The opening price was Rp14,788/kg, while the highest bid reached Rp14,557/kg.
Meanwhile, Malaysian palm oil futures mostly weakened at Thursday’s close, reflecting pressure from lower soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), according to Bernama.
The October 2026 CPO contract was unchanged at RM4,427 per tonne. November futures fell RM84 to RM4,476 per tonne, while December contracts dropped RM81 to RM4,619 per tonne.
Losses extended to contracts for early 2027. January futures declined RM85 to RM4,725 per tonne, and February contracts fell RM85 to RM4,815 per tonne. March futures lost RM79 to RM4,899 per tonne.
Trading volume increased to 133,700 lots from 124,058 lots in the previous session. However, open interest declined to 333,964 contracts from 335,045 contracts.
