Eight LAT Trisakti Internship Graduates Recognized as Palm Oil Industry Accelerates Digital Transformation

InfoSAWIT, MEDAN — As Indonesia’s palm oil industry increasingly adopts digital technology to improve operational efficiency and business management, developing skilled professionals who understand both plantation operations and information systems is becoming more important.

PT Lembaga Aplikasi Teknologi (LAT) Trisakti is addressing this need through its 2025 mySAP365 Internship Program, which has produced eight graduates recognized during the 2026 graduation ceremony at the Institut Teknologi Sawit Indonesia (ITSI) in Medan on Thursday, October 15.

Saiful Bahri, a representative of LAT Trisakti, said the graduates are expected to contribute to the development and operation of digital systems supporting the plantation sector.

According to Saiful, the internship experience goes beyond programming skills, providing participants with practical exposure to the relationship between information technology and plantation business processes.

“An internship with a mySAP365 client is not merely about coding. It is a strategic bridge between the plantation industry and AI-based ERP technology, preparing future support professionals for mySAP365,” Saiful said in a statement received by InfoSAWIT on Friday, October 16.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and artificial intelligence (AI) can help plantation companies integrate operational data, budgets and management reporting. Their effectiveness, however, depends on reliable data, organizational readiness and employees capable of translating business requirements into technological solutions.

Through its mySAP365 Copilot AI and DevAgro AI ecosystem, LAT Trisakti aims to develop young professionals who can provide technical support to plantation companies using these systems.

Saiful also acknowledged the companies that supported the interns during their placements, highlighting the importance of cooperation between educational institutions, technology developers and industry users.

As digitalization expands across agribusiness, developing a workforce that understands both technology and plantation operations could help companies improve efficiency, transparency and decision-making. (T2)
