Lower CPO and Kernel Prices Weigh on FFB Rates
The decline in Central Kalimantan’s FFB prices coincided with lower average prices for both CPO and palm kernels, two key components used in the pricing calculation.
The average local CPO price fell by IDR 119.07/kg to IDR 15,383.06/kg, from IDR 15,502.13/kg in the previous period. The average local palm kernel price dropped more sharply, declining by IDR 370.62/kg to IDR 13,274.85/kg from IDR 13,645.48/kg.
The K Factor, used in calculating smallholder FFB prices, remained unchanged at 92.31%.
According to the pricing meeting minutes, the calculation followed Indonesia’s Agriculture Ministerial Regulation No. 13/2024 and Central Kalimantan Governor Regulation No. 64/2020, along with its amendments.
The next FFB pricing meeting, covering the first half of October 2026, was scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, at the Central Kalimantan Provincial Plantation Office.
The price figures are based on the official minutes of the Central Kalimantan FFB Pricing Team meeting dated October 6, 2026. Actual farm-gate prices may vary depending on mill or company policies, fruit quality, location and individual transaction conditions. (T2)
