KPBN CPO Price Withdrawn at Rp15,708/kg as Malaysian Palm Oil Futures Rebound

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) trading at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was withdrawn on Thursday, August 27, 2026, with the highest bid recorded at Rp15,708 per kilogram.

The bid price was Rp108 per kilogram, or 0.69%, higher than the previous day's highest bid of Rp15,600 per kilogram.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, CPO at Franco Dumai opened at Rp15,770 per kilogram before the tender was withdrawn, with the highest bid reaching Rp15,708 per kilogram. At FOB Talang Duku, CPO opened at Rp15,520 per kilogram, while the highest bid stood at Rp15,329 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, CPO at Franco Teluk Bayur opened at Rp15,570 per kilogram before the tender was withdrawn, with the highest bid reaching Rp15,530 per kilogram.

The movement in the KPBN market came as Malaysian palm oil futures strengthened on Thursday after falling for two consecutive sessions.

The recovery was supported by bargain hunting and firmer prices for competing vegetable oils in China's Dalian market.

Reuters reported that the benchmark palm oil contract for November 2026 delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose RM35 per metric ton, or 0.72%, to RM4,887 per ton at midday. The price was equivalent to around US$1,214 per ton based on the prevailing exchange rate.

Palm oil futures had fallen by around 3.31% over the previous two trading sessions. However, market participants have begun to refocus on factors that could affect palm oil supply and production next year.

Concerns have emerged over potential production disruptions following the appearance of hotspots in Indonesia's Kalimantan region. In Malaysia, meanwhile, rainfall is expected to provide some support for palm oil production conditions.

In Dalian, the most-active soybean oil contract gained 0.94%, while the palm oil contract rose 0.35%. By contrast, soybean oil futures on the Chicago Board of Trade fell 1.7%.
