InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) price set by PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was recorded at Rp15,890/kg on Monday (March 16, 2026). The price increased by Rp390/kg, or about 2.52%, compared to the highest bid price on Friday (March 13, 2026), which stood at Rp15,500/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO price was set at Rp15,890/kg, while the FOB Talang Duku price was recorded at Rp15,690/kg. Meanwhile, the Loco Sei Tapung CPO was opened at Rp15,652/kg, but the tender ended in withdraw (WD) with the highest bid recorded at Rp15,371/kg.

Reported by Bernama, crude palm oil futures on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange also strengthened on Monday (March 16, 2026), marking the fourth consecutive day of gains. The increase was driven by a surge in palm olein prices on the Dalian Commodity Exchange and stronger global crude oil prices.

The benchmark June 2026 CPO futures contract on Bursa Malaysia rose RM85 per ton, or about 1.86%, to RM4,657 per ton during the midday trading break.

Market participants said the rally in CPO prices followed a significant rise in palm olein prices in China. During the morning Asian trading session, palm olein prices on the Dalian exchange reached their highest level since June 2022.

In addition, positive sentiment also came from the global energy market. Rising crude oil prices provided further support to palm oil prices.

In other commodity markets, the most-active soyoil contract on the Dalian exchange rose 0.34%, while the palm oil contract on the same exchange jumped 2.52%. In contrast, soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) declined by about 0.95%.

Palm oil prices generally follow movements in other edible oils such as soybean oil, as these commodities compete within the global vegetable oil market.
