Cooperative Members Question Transparency After SHU Distribution Without Details

InfoSAWIT, Buol – The distribution of Remaining Business Results (SHU) at the Amanah Plasma Farmers Cooperative on Monday (2 March 2026) triggered protests from several members who questioned the transparency of the cooperative’s former management.

Farmers said the distribution process was carried out without clear explanations regarding the source of funds and calculation details.

Several member representatives visited the house of former cooperative chairman Sainur to collect SHU payments for the November–December 2025 period. Each member received Rp220,000 per hectare per month, or Rp440,000 per hectare for two months.

Some members believe the amount does not reflect the productivity of the plasma plantations they manage. However, the main concern raised by members was the lack of an official cooperative mechanism during the distribution.

“The distribution was conducted without a members’ meeting, without official notification, and without written details regarding the total funds received by the cooperative from its partner company,” a member representative said in a written statement received by InfoSAWIT.

Members also requested clarification regarding the actual funds received by the cooperative, the deduction components applied, and the calculation basis for the SHU distribution. However, they claimed the requests were not answered transparently.

Former cooperative deputy chairman Baharudin stated that documents related to fund receipts from the partner company and accountability reports were held by the former chairman.

“The details of receipts from the partner company and the accountability report are in the hands of the former chairman, Mr. Sainur. I do not have the authority to release those documents to members,” he explained. (T2)
