InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom experienced a withdrawal (WD) with the highest offer price at IDR 13,707/kg on Friday (May 2, 2025). Consequently, the CPO price decreased by 1.39%, or approximately IDR 193/kg, compared to the CPO price on Wednesday (April 30, 2025), which reached IDR 13,900/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO price for Franco Kuala Tanjung opened at IDR 13,891/kg but was subject to withdrawal (WD) with the highest offer price at IDR 13,707/kg. Meanwhile, the CPO price for Franco Belawan also opened at IDR 13,891/kg but faced withdrawal (WD) with the highest offer price at IDR 13,615/kg.

In contrast, Reuters reported that palm oil contract prices on the Malaysian Exchange rose slightly on Friday (May 2, 2025), following three sessions of decline. This increase was driven by stronger Chicago soybean oil and crude oil contract prices, although gains were limited by a stronger ringgit currency and weak demand from major markets.

The FCPOc3 palm oil contract for July 2025 delivery on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange rose by 0.41% to RM 3,927 (US$ 914.53) per metric ton at midday. However, the contract has dropped by 3.6% over the past week.

Additionally, soybean oil contract prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (BOcv1) increased by 0.7%. The Dalian Commodity Exchange is closed from May 1 to May 5 due to Labor Day holidays.
