CPO Price at Malaysia Exchange Got Cheaper

InfoSWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) at Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange got cheaper on Wednesday (25/1/2023). It was the first trade after Chinese New Year. CPO got cheaper as soyoil in the United States of America did too.

As quoted from Reuters, CPO reference contract at FCPOc3 for April 2023 delivery at Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange decreased 1,90% to be RM 3.818 (US$ 894,15) per ton in the early session.

Prior Malaysia Exchanged shut the operational on Monday and Tuesday for Chinese New Year.

Cargo surveyor noted that Malaysia’s CPO exports on 1 - 20 January 2023 decreased 29% from the same period in December 2022 because India and China decreased their imports.

Soyoil price at Chicago Board of Trade at BOc2 increased 0,26% after it reached the lowest level in the past one month, on Tuesday. Dalian shuts operating for Chinese New Year. (T2)
