JAKARTA – It is planned that the government through Ministry of Agriculture wil replant palm oil plantation more than 25 years old for about 6.642 hectare. The replanting will be focus to people’s plantations. “The source of the funds is from the banks through plantation revitalization,” General Director of Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture, Gamal Nasir recently mentioned to InfoSAWIT. Gamal admitted that the programs are facing problems for many farmers do not have certificates on the plantations they have. So his side hoped that Land Agency could freely give the certificates. The Plantation Revitalization is targeted to beRp 5,92 billions which derives from vegetable energy development credit funds and plantation revitalization. In general, the realization of plantation revitalization for three yearly main commodities, such as, palm oil, rubber and cocoa reached Rp 11,85 billions for about 228.030 ha plantation.
