InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) prices at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) rose on Monday, October 19, 2026, while Malaysian palm oil futures strengthened to their highest level in more than three weeks, supported by gains in competing vegetable oils on China’s Dalian Commodity Exchange.
KPBN set its CPO price at Rp15,050 per kilogram, up Rp62/kg, or 0.42%, from the highest bid of Rp14,988/kg recorded on Friday, October 16, 2026.
According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO Franco Dumai price was set at Rp15,050/kg. Meanwhile, FOB Talang Duku was priced at Rp14,800/kg, while Franco Teluk Bayur reached Rp14,850/kg.
The firmer domestic market coincided with gains in Malaysian palm oil futures. According to Reuters, the benchmark January 2027 CPO contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives rose RM10 per tonne, or approximately 0.21%, to RM4,779 (US$1,171.32) per tonne at midday trading on Monday.
The contract had already gained nearly 4% the previous week, marking its second consecutive weekly advance.
Market sentiment was supported by stronger vegetable oil prices on China’s Dalian exchange. The most actively traded soybean oil futures rose 0.62%, while palm oil futures gained 1.21%. In contrast, soybean oil futures on the Chicago Board of Trade edged down 0.13%.
Palm oil prices often track movements in competing vegetable oils because the commodities compete for market share in the global edible oils market. Changes in the relative prices of soybean oil and palm oil can therefore influence demand expectations and trading sentiment.
