KPBN Inacom CPO Price Falls by Rp42/kg as Malaysian Palm Oil Futures Slide

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA — Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) price set by PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN Inacom) fell by Rp42 per kilogram on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, to Rp15,115/kg, down 0.28% from Rp15,158/kg recorded a day earlier.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO price was set at Rp15,115/kg, while the FOB Talang Duku price stood at Rp14,865/kg. The Franco Teluk Bayur offer opened at Rp14,915/kg but was withdrawn, with the highest bid reaching Rp14,706/kg.

The decline in Indonesia’s domestic benchmark coincided with a broader retreat in Malaysian palm oil futures. According to Reuters, the benchmark January 2027 CPO contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed RM49, or 1.02%, lower at RM4,768 per tonne on Wednesday.

Profit-taking near the upper end of the trading range outweighed gains in competing vegetable oils on China’s Dalian Commodity Exchange.

On Dalian, the most actively traded soybean oil contract rose 0.26%, while the palm oil contract gained 1.31%. In contrast, soybean oil futures on the Chicago Board of Trade fell 0.12%.

Palm oil prices generally track movements in competing vegetable oils because the products compete for market share in the global edible oil market.

Meanwhile, cargo surveyors estimated that Malaysian palm oil product exports rose between 58.5% and 78.4% during October 1–20 compared with the previous month.

KPBN’s other Wednesday tender results included CPO prices of Rp14,725/kg at Parindu, Rp14,740/kg at Ngabang and Rp14,615/kg at Kembayan, all withdrawn. The highest bids were Rp14,532/kg, Rp14,592/kg and Rp14,467/kg, respectively.

For palm kernel (PK), prices were set at Rp12,327/kg at Bunut and Rp12,425/kg at Ophir, while offers at Tanjung Lebar and Pengabuan were withdrawn. (T2)
