InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA— PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) is making strides in its mission to manage and secure state assets in the plantation sector. A total of 48 employees from Batch IV have officially been trained and dispatched to four assignment areas: South Sumatra, North Sumatra, Central Kalimantan, and Riau. The training event was held in a hybrid format at Agrinas' headquarters in Jakarta on Monday (July 7, 2025).
Memed Kosasih Setia Putra, Director of Human Resources and General Affairs, was present to provide guidance to the employees who are about to embark on their duties. In his remarks, Memed emphasized that their presence in the field is not just about performing tasks but also about carrying an important mission of renewal.
"We are not just sending personnel; we are sending a spirit of renewal. They are the company's representatives in the field," Memed stated, as reported by InfoSAWIT from Agrinas' official website on Thursday (July 10, 2025).
He highlighted the importance of integrity, mental resilience, and character readiness in carrying out tasks amid complex field dynamics. According to him, the dispatched employees have undergone a thorough selection and training process.
"They have been prepared not only in terms of technical skills but also in terms of character and mentality. They will be the frontline of the company in safeguarding and managing state assets," he added.
During the same occasion, the President Director of PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero), Lieutenant General (Ret) Agus Sutomo, SE., also provided guidance. He reminded all employees to uphold professionalism, integrity, and responsibility as part of a state-owned enterprise entrusted with national assets.
"Your task is not trivial. You are entrusted by the state to manage strategic assets. Maintain that trust by working responsibly and with dignity," Agus Sutomo said.
The Batch IV employees will strengthen Agrinas' operational ranks in managing palm oil assets currently under legal processes and entrusted to the state for productive use.
Agrinas Palma Nusantara is currently responsible for managing approximately 480,000 hectares of land across various provinces, including Riau, North Sumatra, South Sumatra, Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and Papua. Most of these lands are state assets at risk of degradation or loss of value if not optimally managed.
By applying Good Agricultural Practices and a professional approach, Agrinas aims to sustain the economic value of these assets.
One participant of the training, Colonel Arm (Ret) M. Jajar, expressed that he gained significant benefits from the event. He found the guidance provided to be very relevant to the tasks they will face in the field.
"The material was very inspiring and provided clear direction regarding our roles, authorities, and responsibilities. We must work with high dedication, remain vigilant, and not become a burden to the team," Jajar stated.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining work ethics and professionalism in carrying out their duties. For Jajar, values such as Saptamarga, the Soldier's Oath, and the 8 Obligations of the TNI should remain moral guidelines, even as their tasks now lie in the civilian realm.
"Do not become toxic, parasitic, or a burden. We must be part of the solution, not the problem. That is what will earn us respect in the field," he asserted firmly.
Echoing Jajar's sentiments, Colonel TNI (Ret) Akhmad Amroji, who will be assigned to Central Kalimantan, stated that the guidance provided by the directors was very beneficial as initial preparation for facing tasks in the field.
"The guidance was clear and provided a comprehensive understanding. We are now more mentally and professionally prepared to face challenges in the region," Amroji said. (T2)
